However, please note that this doesn’t guarantee indefinite waiting periods. We encourage you to renew your tenancy promptly to secure your place.
Peace and Quiet During Viewings: Renewing tenants won’t be disrupted by frequent viewings for the 2025/26 academic year. We understand how disruptive this can be, and we’ll limit them as much as possible.
Deposit “Rollover” (Group Renewals): If your entire group renews for another year, you won’t have to pay a new deposit! We’ll “roll over” your current total deposit amount.
Open Communication: We want to hear your feedback! If there are any minor improvements that would encourage you to renew, let us know, and we’ll take it on board.

While we encourage renewing your current tenancy, we understand that circumstances might change. If you still want to stay with Thornsett Properties but prefer a different location or property size, we offer a wide range of properties in various student hotspots across Sheffield.
If you choose to move with us, we will do our best to assist you with moving across to your new property efficiently. Our Crookesmoor student tenancies run from 1st July to 27th June and we don’t allow tenants to stay later than the contract expiry. However, if you choose to move with us, we’ll work with you to get you moved over straight away so you aren’t faced with a period of homelessness (where possible!).

Final Note Regarding Viewings for 2025/26:
While it may seem early, viewings for the 2025/26 academic year will begin in October or November 2024. Demand as always is expected to be high, so securing your preferred property early is wise. To minimize disruption during these viewings, please try to keep your current property clean and presentable. Thornsett tenants will receive at least 24-hour notice before any viewings, allowing you to prepare accordingly.
